These easy to bake muffins are delicious, satisfying and filled with heart healthy goodness.  Go ahead, dunk them into your chai!  Sooo good!

 

Dry ingredients

1 cup whole wheat flour

¾ cup almond flour

½ cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons Heirloom Chai or Love Chai

3 tablespoons ground flax seeds

 

Wet ingredients

1 cup buttermilk

¼ cup avocado or canola oil

2 teaspoons vanilla

1 egg

3 tablespoons maple syrup

 Steps

1. Grease 12 muffin cup tray
2. Preheat oven to 375 (350 for convection)
3. Combine all dry ingredients
4. In a separate bowl combine wet ingredients
5. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients stirring by hand just until moist
6. Divide batter evenly in muffin tray
7. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes
